1. A strange storyLong ago, there was a rabbit known for its exceptional speed. It boasted to other animals about its swiftness and often bragged about how it could outrun anyone. One day, a tortoise challenged the rabbit to a race. Despite its confidence, the rabbit lost the race by running into a tree and died. Coincidentally, a farmer happened to pass by and saw the rabbit. He thought the rabbit's death was a waste and wished he could have helped. The farmer began to visit the spot every day, but never found any more rabbits. Eventually, he went home sadly, only to find his plants shorter than others' as he neglected them while mourning the rabbit's death.2. My Favourite BookI enjoy reading a variety of books, but "Harry Potter" stands out as my favorite. The story is lengthy, yet captivating. Harry, a brave and intelligent boy, confronts powerful enemies. His Z-shaped scar and magic wand transported me into a magical world. The story holds great meaning, teaching me a lot. I believe it's the best book I've ever read.3. An English StoryEveryone needs someone, a person they can rely on - a friend. "A friend in need is a friend indeed." If only those kinds of friends can be called "Friends", then there are very few true friends for me. Regarding friendship, there are countless quotes supporting my view, like "Friendship is nothing but giving." However, most of the time, we are happier receiving than giving. Well, I'm not saying friendship is based on material giving, but it requires emotional exchange, like "I can give you nothing but friendship", setting a great example of friendship. Maybe we are too concerned about others' shortcomings that we have missed many potential friends. There are too many aspects to a good friend, so just take it easy and let time do the rest.
